We have a rental property that was built in 1949 that a tenant moved out of after 17 years. We didn’t expect to have to do any extensive repairs besides the electrical upgrade we had planned for.  That expectation was thrown out the window when we noticed water damage to the floor in the bathroom and had to search for a contractor to quote the repair job.  We reached out to contractors for bids.  Delahoussaye Construction only had one review but something told me to include them for one of the quotes.  I went with a gut feeling after talking to David and let me tell you, I would have given him a 10 star review if it was possible.  We had already purchased product to do cosmetic upgrades to the bathroom and it ended up having to be a full gut job.  David was more than accommodating when we asked him to use the product we had purchased.  We had a strict timeframe for move in and David worked closely with us to make it happen.  The bathroom turned out better than we expected!  But, that’s not all…while they were working on the bathroom, other extensive repairs that needed to be done were discovered. These things were major and were in no way within our budget at this time.  David was able to suggest affordable fixes that would slow down the progression of the issues and buy us more time to build up our reserves for future repairs.  I know we were not the only job Delahoussaye Construction had going and he was busy, we had only hired him for the bathroom remodel. But, when asked if he would be willing to help out with these things he was willing and never made me feel like he didn’t have the time and these small things were not worth his time.  I know the actual repairs need to be done sooner than later and Delahoussaye Construction will definitely be the first I contact when I am

I have known David for several years and have always found him to be forthright and honest. When I needed help on my own projects at home I counted on him to be there for me. I am a retired carpenter who was able to see that this young would be able to handle the job and ultimately lead others with accurate directions. I needed a large picture window replaced during the pandemic and asked him to do the job. He placed the special order for the window and when it arrived he brought in 2 capable carpenters to install it that day. The next day his stucco man came over to finish the job. The window is in and what may be the best part of it is that my wife is thrilled with it. If you want a contractor that will get the job done and charge you a fair price you have found the right man in Dave.

I needed a sliding door replacement, not a repair or retro fit, a totally new door.  Non of the famous window companies were willing to consider such a thing. They only want to do your entire house.  Luckily I found David’s company.  He ordered a door,  chipped out the old slider,  installed new door,  repaired the stucco and painted the stucco.  First class service,  clean up and I am very happy.  Call him.  Very professional.
